As a Mechanical Engineer on our Starlink team, you'll play a critical role in designing and developing the systems that will enable fast, reliable internet access to billions of people around the world.

We're looking for a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our Starlink satellite constellation. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing and developing complex mechanical systems, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our systems meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

As a Mechanical Engineer on our Starlink team, you'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of exciting projects, from conceptual design to high-volume production and on-orbit operation. You'll be responsible for owning complex hardware from cradle to grave, interacting regularly with senior leadership during critical design phases, and driving system-level optimization.

We're looking for a self-motivated and organized individual with a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience with CAD and FEA software packages. Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop complex mechanical systems for the Starlink satellite constellation
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that systems meet the highest standards of quality and performance
  • Own complex hardware from conceptual design through high-volume production and on-orbit operation
  • Interact regularly with senior leadership during critical design phases
  • Drive system-level optimization and holistic DFM to create elegant designs

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
  • Experience with CAD and FEA software packages
  • 1+ years of professional experience with mechanical/electromechanical design, analysis, testing, and/or manufacturing

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Master's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline
  • 3+ years of professional experience in mechanical design and analysis
  • 2+ years of hands-on project experience with complex mechanical systems, preferably as a team lead
