Mechanical Engineer

At SpaceX, we're pushing the boundaries of innovation and technology to make humanity a multi-planetary species. As a Mechanical Engineer on our Starlink team, you'll play a critical role in designing, building, and testing the next generation of satellite technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement mechanical design solutions for Starlink satellites and ground equipment
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems
  • Conduct thorough analysis and testing to validate design performance and safety
  • Work closely with senior leadership to drive design decisions and optimize system-level performance

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 1+ years of experience in mechanical design, analysis, and testing
  • Proficiency in CAD software (NX preferred) and FEA tools
  • Strong understanding of structural analysis and failure modes

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical design and analysis
  • 2+ years of hands-on project experience with complex mechanical systems
  • Experience with design of experiments, statistical process control, and process qualification
