At SpaceX, we're pushing the boundaries of innovation and exploration. As a Mechanical Engineer on our Starlink team, you'll play a critical role in designing, building, and testing the technologies that will enable humanity to explore the stars.

Our Starlink constellation is the world's largest satellite network, providing fast and reliable internet to millions of users worldwide. As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll work on complex hardware from conceptual design through high-volume production and on-orbit operation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing mechanical systems for our Starlink satellites
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive holistic design for manufacturability (DFM) and reduce piece part and process count
  • Performing environmental and performance testing to validate analysis and demonstrate compliance to design criteria
  • Establishing efficient product lifecycles that balance cost, complexity, and quality

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
  • Experience with CAD and FEA software packages
  • 1+ years of professional experience in mechanical design and analysis

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Master's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline
  • 3+ years of professional experience in mechanical design and analysis
  • 2+ years of hands-on project experience with complex mechanical systems
