## Personal Lines Underwriter Role

At Selective Insurance Company of America, we're seeking a skilled Personal Lines Underwriter to join our team. As a key member of our Personal Lines Service Centers, you'll play a crucial role in driving profit, growth, retention, service, and quality assurance goals.

### Key Responsibilities

* Conduct multi-state and multi-line exception underwriting to accept, modify, decline, cancel, or non-renew personal lines exposures within authority level
* Underwrite personal lines on an agency level and manage personal lines results on a per agency basis by evaluating and monitoring agency financials, quality of business, submission and cancellation trends, etc.
* Develop, implement, and monitor profitability improvement plans for under-performing agencies as needed

### Work Environment

* The Richmond, VA location operates from 1:30pm-10pm EST, qualifying for a shift differential
* The Scottsdale, AZ location operates from 10:30am-7pm PST, without a shift differential

### Requirements

* All job duties and responsibilities must be carried out in compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements as well as meet our service and quality level standards
