Sales Representative

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Outside Sales professional to join our dynamic team at Northeastern Supply, Inc. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for cultivating current customers and recruiting new customers to drive sales growth and increase company profits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and conduct sales presentations to new and existing customers to promote products and provide technical support.
- Determine customer requirements and expectations to recommend specific products and solutions.
- Identify trends in customer satisfaction or dissatisfaction to maintain and improve customer relationships.
- Visit job sites as needed to measure or provide client services.
- Gather competitive information and other market intelligence regularly.
- Prepare and present quotations to customers.
- Participate in local industry organizations to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3+ years of progressive work experience in sales.
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Results-oriented and willing to be accountable for results.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
- Available to work weekday or weekend overtime as required.
Training and Development:
- Learn and apply new product knowledge to enhance sales and personal professionalism.
- Remain current with changes in local codes and consumer preferences.
- Remain current on product and industry knowledge by attending sales meetings, vendor training, trade shows, or reading trade journals.
Decision Making:
- Participate with management in updating territory plan and setting sales goals.
- Determine sales potential for new and existing customers through inquiry, observation, or periodical research.
Financial Responsibilities:
- Increase business and account base by finding and qualifying new business accounts using sales techniques to cross-sell and up-sell.
- Negotiate and establish pricing and terms according to company requirements for customer and transaction profitability.
Communication:
- Communicate unexpected increases or decreases in demand for products to the purchasing department.
- Assist clients with special requests and problems, such as supply information or resolving complaints.
