Job Title: Outside Sales

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Outside Sales professional to join our dynamic team at Northeastern Supply, Inc. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for cultivating current customers and recruiting new customers to drive sales growth and increase company profits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and conduct sales presentations to new and existing customers to promote products and provide technical support.
  • Determine customer requirements and expectations to recommend specific products and solutions.
  • Identify trends in customer satisfaction or dissatisfaction to maintain and improve customer relationships.
  • Visit job sites as needed to measure or provide client services.
  • Gather competitive information and other market intelligence regularly.
  • Prepare and present quotations to customers.
  • Participate in local industry organizations to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3+ years of progressive work experience in sales.
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Results-oriented and willing to be accountable for results.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Available to work weekday or weekend overtime as required.

Training and Development:

  • Learn and apply new product knowledge to enhance sales and personal professionalism.
  • Remain current with changes in local codes and consumer preferences.
  • Remain current on product and industry knowledge by attending sales meetings, vendor training, trade shows, or reading trade journals.

Decision Making:

  • Participate with management in updating territory plan and setting sales goals.
  • Determine sales potential for new and existing customers through inquiry, observation, or periodical research.

Financial Responsibilities:

  • Increase business and account base by finding and qualifying new business accounts using sales techniques to cross-sell and up-sell.
  • Negotiate and establish pricing and terms according to company requirements for customer and transaction profitability.

Communication:

  • Communicate unexpected increases or decreases in demand for products to the purchasing department.
  • Assist clients with special requests and problems, such as supply information or resolving complaints.
