Metrology Engineer

The Metrology Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing precision measurement solutions. This includes writing CMM programs, designing fixturing, and creating hard gauges for production use.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write CMM and Vision System Programs
- Design gauges and fixturing
- Assist with Calibration of tools and ensure equipment is traceable to national standards
- Assist Engineering Department with reverse engineering
- Perform dimensional First Article Inspection and document results
- Perform Capability Studies for analysis by Quality Engineering
- Perform Physical Testing and report findings
- Perform dimensional inspections for Tooling/Design Engineers
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Two Year Degree preferred
- General knowledge of injection molding and manufacturing operations
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer experience
- Advanced blue print reading skills
- Knowledge of advanced measuring techniques
