Job Summary

The Office of Energy Infrastructure Safety is seeking a highly skilled Information Technology Associate to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to our end-users, ensuring the smooth operation of our systems and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and assistance to end-users via phone, email, and in-person
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, printers, and other equipment
  • Develop and implement technical solutions to improve system efficiency and performance
  • Collaborate with other IT staff to ensure seamless integration of systems and services

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in IT support or related field
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout California (up to 5% of the time)

Working Conditions

This is a 12-month limited term position, which may become permanent, be extended, or be canceled at any time. The position is designated under the Conflict of Interest Code, and the appointee is required to complete Form 700 within 30 days of appointment and once per year.
