Job Description and Duties

As a Business Analyst in the California Department of Food and Agriculture's Office of Information Technology Services, you will play a critical role in transforming technology operations and driving business success. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze evolving business needs, perform strategic assessments, and document complex processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze business needs and identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Develop and maintain business requirements documentation
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure solution alignment with business needs
  • Perform quality control and testing to ensure solutions meet user needs

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in business analysis and IT system requirements documentation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

Working Conditions:

The position is primarily conducted indoors in an office environment. The incumbent will have a workstation with modular furniture, a computer with various software programs, and a telephone with voicemail.
