Program Manager Role Overview

A high-level Program Manager position is available at General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT), a leading provider of technology and professional services to the U.S. government, defense, and intelligence communities. The ideal candidate will have significant experience managing large programs with annual revenues exceeding $25 million and overseeing teams providing development and operations support for business applications.

The successful applicant will work closely with senior customer and technical managers, as well as on-contract resources, to ensure the effective execution of project tasks, schedules, and budgets. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the successful completion of assigned program areas, ensuring alignment with customer mission objectives and contract performance requirements.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to develop and execute comprehensive program plans, including resource allocation, budgeting, and risk management strategies.
• Foster strong relationships with customers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to facilitate communication, problem-solving, and issue resolution.
• Ensure compliance with relevant corporate and government policies, standards, and regulations.
• Lead and mentor subordinate supervisors, performing personnel actions such as hiring, performance evaluations, and training.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in program management, preferably leading large-scale projects with complex technical requirements.
• Proven track record of success in managing budgets, resources, and timelines within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders at various levels.
• Familiarity with industry-standard project management approaches and methodologies, such as Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid.
• PMP certification or equivalent experience is highly desirable.
• TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is mandatory.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and circumstances.
