CDL-A Delivery Driver

We are seeking a highly skilled CDL-A Driver to join our team at Admar Construction Equipment & Supplies. As a CDL-A Driver, you will be responsible for delivering equipment to customers, providing familiarization training, and picking up equipment in a safe and timely manner.
Key Responsibilities- Safely load and unload rental equipment for delivery to customer job sites on time.
- Provide timely communication to customers regarding your schedule for the day, including pick-ups and deliveries, to ensure a superior level of customer service.
- Communicate Admar policies regarding customer representation on site to confirm delivery and condition of equipment, and at pick-up to confirm condition of equipment and identify any damage.
- Provide familiarization training to end users/operators to comply with Admar safety and liability insurance policy.
- Conduct daily inspections and documentation of delivery vehicle and trailer, adhering to all DOT rules and regulations.
- Comply with all Federal and Local rules and regulations regarding driving and load securement.
- Report any damage on rental units when picking up equipment to the supervisor.
- Keep assigned tractor/delivery vehicle and trailer clean and free of visual defects, including proper Admar logos.
- Participate in and seek out training opportunities to learn about the functions and features of all equipment delivered and picked up.
- Be knowledgeable regarding local roads and associated restrictions, providing insights to dispatch to expedite routing.
- Follow Admar policy regarding signatures at delivery and pick-up, noting damage billing and triage.
- Fuel and check all fluids (DEF, oil, wiper fluid, etc.) in the truck daily.
- Report all accidents and issues to dispatch ASAP, and call the police if necessary.
- Strong desire to create a positive experience for customers.
- Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced, stressful environment.
- Organized, neat, and always presenting a professional demeanor.
- Possess a strong "Safety attitude".
- Practical mechanical background.
- Clean driver's license.
- Equipment operating experience.
- Understand Admar contracts and customer needs.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk. The employee must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. The work environment is that of a typical warehouse office, with some exposure to cold, heat, noise, fumes, and dust. Specific vision requirements include close and distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, and the ability to distinguish colors.
Salary$28.00 per hour
