Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Delivery Driver CDL-A to join our team at Palmer Food Services. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and precise delivery of products to local customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate product delivery to customers, including bars, restaurants, casinos, and schools.
  • Verify delivery contents against invoices to guarantee correct delivery of orders.
  • Properly scan merchandise upon delivery to maintain accurate records.
  • Utilize equipment safely and efficiently, including handcarts, ramps, lift gates, and other equipment.
  • Conduct pretrip inspections to ensure the commercial vehicle is in good operating condition.
  • Operate the commercial vehicle safely in compliance with all traffic regulations.
  • Maintain clear communication with the transportation department associates using cell phones.
  • Ensure timely reporting of any issues or delays encountered during deliveries.
  • Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines.
  • Accurately record mileage and delivery times for each route.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing any customer concerns or questions during deliveries.
Requirements
  • Clean CDL Class A or B license.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of prior commercial delivery experience.
  • Food service and refer experience preferred.
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, sit, and operate warehouse equipment.
  • Fluent speech in English, writing, and communication skills necessary to effectively carry out job functions.
