Job Summary

Clark County Public Works is seeking highly skilled Highway Maintenance Specialists to join our team. As a Highway Maintenance Specialist, you will play a vital role in maintaining the county's infrastructure, ensuring the safety and accessibility of our roads and highways.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform skilled labor in maintaining and repairing roads, drainage systems, and controlling vegetation
  • Operate various equipment, including trucks, sanders, chippers, and loaders
  • Contribute to road maintenance by performing tasks such as setting up traffic control signs, grinding asphalt, and patching holes
  • Clear county roads of hazards during winter season
  • Maintain and repair roadway drainage systems
  • Control roadside vegetation
Requirements
  • Experience in highway maintenance, construction, farming, forestry, or landscaping
  • Commercial Driver's License Class A with 'N' tanker endorsement
  • Ability to work in a team environment and perform physically demanding tasks
  • Knowledge of safety practices and ability to use tools and equipment safely
