Highway Maintenance Specialist

Clark County Public Works is seeking highly skilled Highway Maintenance Specialists to join our team. As a key member of our Road Maintenance & Operations division, you will play a vital role in maintaining the county's infrastructure and ensuring the safety of our community.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and repair roads, drainage systems, and vegetation control
- Operate a variety of equipment, including trucks, sanders, chippers, and loaders
- Perform labor-intensive tasks in a safe and efficient manner
- Work cooperatively as a crew member and contribute to a positive team environment
- Read and interpret written instructions and documents, and follow oral instructions
- Experience in highway maintenance, construction, farming, forestry, or landscaping
- Commercial Driver's License Class A with 'N' tanker endorsement
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a variety of weather conditions
