Job Summary

The Clark Regional Wastewater District is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Wastewater Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Wastewater Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of wastewater treatment plant equipment, including pumps, valves, and other mechanical systems. You will also be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the treatment plant, as well as maintaining accurate records and reports.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair wastewater treatment plant equipment, including pumps, valves, and other mechanical systems.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the treatment plant.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and inspecting equipment.
  • Respond to emergency situations, such as equipment failures or system overflows.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to ensure the smooth operation of the treatment plant.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of experience in wastewater treatment plant maintenance and repair.
  • Knowledge of wastewater treatment plant operations and maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergency situations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions

The Wastewater Maintenance Technician will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to loud noises, strong odors, and hazardous materials. The technician will also be required to work at heights and in confined spaces. The technician must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a variety of weather conditions.
