Job SummaryWe are seeking a passionate and dedicated High School Inclusion Teacher to join our team at Uncommon Schools. As a High School Inclusion Teacher, you will play a critical role in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment for our students.
You will teach English Language Arts to high school students, using a robust literature curriculum that prioritizes inclusive texts and emphasizes diversity. You will also develop students' independent and collaborative reading, writing, and discussion skills.

Responsibilities- Teach English Language Arts to high school students using a robust literature curriculum
- Develop students' independent and collaborative reading, writing, and discussion skills
- Partner with students' families to ensure appropriate resources are available to support their child's learning needs
- Participate in weekly, school-wide meetings to cultivate community and model our core values
- Partner with your grade level team to develop academic goals and practice instructional strategies
- A commitment to the mission of Uncommon Schools and investment in our vision for being an anti-racist organization
- A demonstrated commitment to supporting students' social-emotional and academic development
- A demonstrated interest in impacting K-12 students in urban schools and communities
- Academic expertise in Humanities, English, Social Sciences, or other related fields of study
- Prior to the start of employment, you must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
