Position: AP US History TeacherKey Responsibilities:
- Deliver captivating lessons in US History, World History, American Government, and Economics, equipping students for Advanced Placement coursework.
- Encourage student-led discussions on historical themes, promoting critical analysis and thoughtful engagement.
- Assist students in examining primary and secondary sources, enhancing their argumentative and analytical skills.
- Establish a nurturing and inclusive classroom atmosphere where students feel empowered to share their viewpoints.
Qualifications:
- A strong passion for the mission of Uncommon Schools and a commitment to anti-racism efforts.
- A proven dedication to fostering students' social-emotional and academic development.
- A collaborative approach and readiness to engage with both internal and external partners for student achievement.
- Experience with urban K-12 students is preferred.
Salary: Starting salary ranges from $50,000 to $64,700, contingent upon experience and qualifications.
