Job Title: High School History TeacherKey Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans in World History, US History, American Government, and Economics, preparing students for Advanced Placement courses.
- Foster critical thinking and analytical skills through student-led discussions on historical topics.
- Guide students in analyzing primary and secondary sources, developing argumentation and critical thinking abilities.
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students can express their opinions and perspectives.
Requirements:
- Passion for education and a commitment to anti-racism initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to support students' social-emotional and academic growth.
- Collaborative mindset and willingness to work with internal and external stakeholders for student success.
- Experience working with urban K-12 students preferred.
Compensation: Starting salary between $50,000 and $64,700 based on experience and qualifications.
