Mental Health Unit Coordinator Job Description

Job Summary:

VitalCore Health Strategies is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Unit Coordinator to join our team. As a Mental Health Unit Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the provision of quality mental health services to patients and addressing their psychological needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a liaison between administrative staff and mental health professionals to discuss treatment programs and resolve issues as needed.
  • Coordinate the development and revision of policies and procedures for the identification, assessment, and provision of required clinical services for inmates.
  • Supervise the planning, development, and implementation of treatment programs contracted to VitalCore.
  • Provide clinical supervision to staff of Behavioral Health Services.
  • Monitor the efforts of Mental Health Services to ensure clinical services are being provided in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure treatment programs contracted are integrated and appropriately staffed.
  • Provide administrative support to psychiatric staff and assist coordinators in recruitment and selection of clinical staff.
  • Coordinate the facility's behavioral health Quality Improvement Program.

Requirements:

  • Must be a Licensed, Master's Level Behavioral Health Clinician who can assess and make treatment decisions and provide Mental Health treatment.
  • Must be independently licensed: LICSW or LMHC.
  • Previous experience as a Mental Health Clinician.
