About the Role

Share Our Strength is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director, Celebrity Engagement to lead and implement national celebrity, athlete, and influencer engagement strategies that elevate awareness of our mission and initiatives, including the No Kid Hungry campaign, among a national audience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute national celebrity, athlete, and influencer engagement strategies to amplify Share Our Strength's mission and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to build and maintain strong relationships with agencies, celebrities, influencers, and talent representatives.
  • Craft and edit written materials, including talking points, press releases, and toolkits, to effectively communicate Share Our Strength's message.
  • Manage the Senior Manager, Celebrity & Media Engagement, and budget lines, ensuring effective use of resources.
  • Travel up to 25% to engage with celebrities, influencers, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in communications, marketing, public relations, entertainment, or related industries.
  • Agency and/or non-profit experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership in developing and implementing multi-faceted communications strategies and campaigns, with an emphasis on earned and paid media, celebrity & influencer relations.
  • Strong grasp on the consumer lifestyle and entertainment industry, as well as cause marketing initiatives that engage celebrities and influencers.
  • People management experience and a strong ability to coach junior staff to reach their full potential.
  • Up-to-date understanding of the media landscape, including growing and emerging mediums, such as podcasts and livestreams.
  • Strong writer, with experience drafting strategic communications plans and media-facing materials.
