Job Summary

ENGIE is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer II to join our Renewable Energy Operations team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our renewable energy facilities. This role requires a strong technical background in electrical engineering, with a focus on high-voltage systems and substation operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the utility-scale operations group by acting as a technical leader and ensuring the safe operation of facilities.
  • Collaborate across multiple disciplines by participating in design reviews and providing electrical, high-voltage, collection system, and substation support to operating renewable projects.
  • Participate in the engineering, design, and construction review processes, including reviewing collection system, substation, and transmission line designs.
  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of commissioning, maintenance, and standard operating procedures.
  • Review maintenance records and recommend corrective actions to ensure reliability and compliance with applicable NERC standards.
  • Develop structured feedback sessions for all lessons learned with the project team, including misoperations, root cause analysis, and safety-related events.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and utility experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of directly relevant engineering experience working with substations.
  • Working knowledge of high and medium voltage power systems.
  • Ability to travel domestically/internationally up to 20% of the time.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license/clean driving record.
