Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop custom engineered solutions using non-standard applications of Powell standard products
  • Design and develop power control rooms using electrical standards
  • Read and interpret customer job specifications
  • Order materials and create drawings
  • Interface with sales, customer, and shop personnel
  • Check completed tasks by more senior engineers
Requirements:
  • BS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or related area
  • Minimum 0-3 years of experience in an engineering role
  • Ability to interact with shop personnel and apply product knowledge and technical skills to solve simple application problems independently
  • Basic computer skills using Oracle, Word, Excel, and ability to order materials electronically
  • Advanced drafting/CAD skills, AutoCad preferred
  • Proficient with electrical design and circuitry, and ability to read and interpret electrical symbols, characters, and modify drawings
