As a Patient Billing Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our revenue cycle, working closely with patients, providers, and insurance companies to resolve billing and payment issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify patient demographics and insurance information to ensure accurate billing and payment processing
  • Interpret and explain Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) to patients, explaining the difference between copays, coinsurance, and deductibles
  • Collaborate with patients to set up payment arrangements and prepare invoices and records payments
  • Collect patient payment information and send receipts and/or itemized bills to the appropriate party
  • Provide excellent customer service, maintaining a positive and professional demeanor in all interactions
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of experience in medical billing, with a strong understanding of EMR and ECW systems
  • High School Diploma or GED required, with a focus on detail-oriented and organized individuals
  • Excellent communication and computer skills, with the ability to multitask effectively
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow with our team
