About the Role

The Associate Director, Global Medical Communications is a key position within our Global Medical Affairs team, responsible for overseeing the strategic development and execution of medical communication plans across various disease areas and assets. This role requires a strong understanding of medical communication approaches and best practices, as well as the ability to collaborate with cross-functional partners to drive business growth and patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement medical communication strategies to support global product launches and lifecycle management
  • Lead medical review of promotional and non-promotional materials to ensure compliance with regulatory and legal guidelines
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide scientific leadership and technical expertise across GI, contributing to launch and life-cycle management of a medical unit
  • Interface with vendors and external partners to ensure timely and effective delivery of medical communication initiatives
  • Monitor performance of goals and delivery of medical communications plans, and provide regular updates to the Global Scientific Communications Group Lead, GI
Requirements
  • Relevant healthcare degree required, with a medical or scientific degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, RN, MS, etc.) preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, preferably within a matrix structure and medical affairs roles (e.g. Medical Science Liaison, Medical Information, Medical Communications, Medical Education, Publications)
  • Strong collaborator able to inspire teamwork and critical thinker able to understand complex scenarios and focus on priorities
  • Good knowledge of medical communication approaches and best practices, as well as familiarity with international regulatory and legal guidelines regarding medical communication strategy and execution
