We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Medical Director to lead our clinical science efforts in neurodegenerative disorders. As a key member of our Neuroscience Therapeutic Area Unit, you will be responsible for driving strategy and decision-making for clinical studies focused on neurodegenerative disorders.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and drive strategy for clinical studies focused on neurodegenerative disorders
- Represent Clinical Science on Study Execution and Clinical Teams
- Support the Global Project Team to ensure that the clinical team activities are aligned with the global strategy
- May act as Global Clinical Lead for an early or a smaller scope product
- Serves as a key contributor to the Neurodegenerative Disorders Unit (NDU) in setting strategy and building capabilities and expertise for neurodegenerative disorders
- Contributes to Global Project and clinical team strategy and deliverables working on the Asset Strategy, Clinical Development Plan, Clinical Protocols and other documents needed for study execution
- Responsible for monitoring and interpreting data from ongoing internal and external studies, assessing the medical and scientific implications and making recommendations that impact regional and global development
- MD or internationally recognized equivalent plus 3 years of clinical research experience within the pharmaceutical industry or biomedical/clinical experience within academia (or a combination of afore mentioned)
- Previous experience successfully leading matrix teams preferred
- Superior communication, strategic, interpersonal and negotiating skills
- Ability to proactively predict issues and solve problems
- Ability to drive decision-making within a multi-disciplinary, multi-regional, matrix teams
- Diplomacy and positive influencing abilities
- Ability to drive to or fly to various meetings or client sites, including overnight trips
- Requires approximately –10 - 20% travel
