The Senior Contracts Manager will be primarily focused on drafting and negotiating software licensing agreements in support of the Rocket sales organization. This position requires an individual to autonomously operate within established frameworks and approaches with minimal guidance, while managing multiple, complex approval and contract negotiation cycles at various points in the sales cycle. They must take ownership of the approval and contract process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the entire contract negotiation process, from initial request and review through negotiation and execution.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
  • Review, redline, analyze, and negotiate a wide range of software-related contracts.
  • Identify and assess potential risks associated with contractual terms.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of Rocket's business, products, markets, customers, and partners.
  • Interpret contracts and coordinate with legal staff for guidance.
  • Maintain accurate database and documents.
  • Provide day-to-day responses to requests for legal support.
Requirements:
  • 7-10 years experience with technology sales, licensing, and procurement transactions.
  • BA/BS in related field. MA or JD preferred.
  • Strong understanding of software contracts, licensing models, and service agreements.
  • Familiarity with software industry regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
