Consultative Search Group is a distinguished global asset management firm, currently seeking a highly skilled professional for the role of Senior Accounting Manager or Assistant Vice President. This position is pivotal in overseeing the financial records for a variety of private partnerships and accounts, ensuring accurate reporting to clients and collaboration with our offshore teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and oversee the financial records of pooled private investment funds structured as limited partnerships and/or separate accounts.
- Conduct accounting and reconciliation for cash, investments, and real estate assets.
- Record and reconcile transactions related to purchases and sales.
- Collaborate with the corporate actions team to review and account for intricate corporate actions.
- Estimate and post monthly closing accruals.
- Calculate income and expense allocations for each partner, updating the distribution waterfall in accordance with governing document terms.
- Determine and prepare distributions and draw-downs for partners.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for clients.
- Analyze and compute performance metrics for partnerships/accounts and individual investments.
- Coordinate with independent auditors, custodians, prime brokers, and fund administrators.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 7-9 years of relevant accounting or audit experience, preferably within Big Four public accounting or a combination of public accounting and investment management.
- In-depth knowledge of reconciliation processes and account analysis.
- Strong grasp of accounting principles and the ability to apply relevant investment company accounting regulations.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the capability to address and resolve complex issues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA certification is advantageous.
