At Hand + Physical Therapy NYC, a renowned Therapist-owned and operated outpatient practice located in the heart of Union Square, New York City, we are seeking a highly skilled Patient Care Coordinator/ Front Office Administrator to join our dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be well-organized, and have an understanding of confidentiality and discretion. Reporting directly to the Clinical Director, this role performs a variety of clerical and receptionist duties, combined with patient tasks to assist the therapists in providing exceptional care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and assist them in and out of the therapy area.
  • Maintain a patient treatment schedule consistent with the needs of the facility.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including answering phones, screening calls, and referring incoming calls to the appropriate team member.
  • Aid in the treatment and care of patients in accordance with the American Occupational Therapy/Physical Therapy Association Code of Ethics and the New York Occupational Therapy/Physical Therapy Practice Act.
  • Prepare equipment for treatment as needed by the therapists.
  • Maintain facility records and filing systems, ensuring compliance with company procedures.
  • Collaborate with the billing department to ensure accurate billing information.
  • Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organized facility.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

Please note that this is a part-time position, requiring approximately 20-25 hours of work per week. The ideal candidate will be available to work a standard Monday-to-Friday schedule, with flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.
