  • Facility Maintenance: Ensure the program area is well-maintained and organized, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment.

  • Equipment Utilization: Utilize therapeutic tools such as hoyer lifts, gait belts, and various recreational supplies to enhance participant engagement.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Program Coordinator to implement both indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring a holistic approach to rehabilitation.

Qualifications:

Required Credentials: Current certification as a nurse assistant, home health aide, or medical assistant in California. A minimum of one year of experience working with individuals with disabilities in rehabilitation or geriatric settings is essential.

Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal abilities are crucial for effective interaction with participants, families, and staff. Must possess mature judgment and decision-making skills to ensure participant safety.

Certifications: CPR and First Aid certifications are mandatory. The ability to perform all essential job functions is required.

Physical Demands:

Applicants must be capable of standing, walking, lifting, and transferring individuals weighing up to 50 lbs. The role requires bending, stooping, and the ability to navigate various terrains, including carpet, tile, and grass.

Work Schedule:

This position offers 30 hours per week, with varying hours based on shift assignments.

Supervision:

Reports to the Registered Nurse and Program/Activity Coordinator, while providing oversight to assigned program participants.
