Human Resources Payroll Specialist

The Human Resources Technician Payroll position is responsible for assisting the HR Data and Payroll Services division with the timely and accurate payroll processing for assigned state department(s). The incumbent will audit and process timesheets in accordance with complex time and attendance rules, including scheduling, overtime, and various compensation/incentive payments.
Main Responsibilities• Process payroll for assigned state departments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Audit timesheets and payroll records to verify proper application of time and attendance rules, overtime, and other compensation
• Assist with executing and developing department's internal payroll processes Serve as a resource to solve payroll-related requests, problems, and questions
• Associate's degree in public administration, HR management, or related field Minimum 2 years of experience in a payroll function
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities
• Demonstrated adaptability and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. Benefits include health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
