As a prominent international tier-one supplier of high-speed chain drive systems for the automotive sector, we are seeking a dedicated Automotive Assembly Technician to join our team.

The role of the Automotive Assembly Technician involves setting up and operating machinery, executing changeovers, and making precise adjustments to the assembly line for the production of Automotive Timing Chains and Components. Adhering to established work standards, the technician will utilize statistical quality control methods to ensure the integrity of all components and the timing chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct preventive maintenance inspections at the beginning of each shift, as outlined in the Preventive Maintenance Check Sheet, including lubrication and functionality checks of all detectors.
  • Perform comprehensive preventive maintenance on machinery, including oil changes and basic troubleshooting of chain assembly equipment to identify and resolve issues.
  • Operate various machines and processes along the assembly line, including roller link assembly, chain assembly, riveting, pre-stressing, articulation checking, center distance measuring, automatic cutting, washing, final inspection, and packing.
  • Maintain production schedules and quality control records, ensuring traceability for each batch of chain and reporting any unusual problems to the departmental supervisor.
  • Prepare test samples for quality control in accordance with work standards and accurately record production data using designated forms.
  • Utilize a machine-monitoring system to log downtime and detect any faulty operations or defective materials, reporting these conditions to the group leader or supervisor.
  • Keep the work area and equipment clean and organized, adhering to standard safety regulations.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-5 years of experience operating multiple machines and performing preventive maintenance.
  • Strong safety mindset and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with material handling devices such as hand trucks and hydraulic lift trucks.
  • Basic computer skills.
