Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Die Repair Specialist to join our team in the Automotive Chain, Fabrication & Assembly Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing various carbide progressive, pierce & blank dies, troubleshooting die problems, and maintaining control & inventory levels of tooling, gages, and precision measuring instruments.
Key Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain carbide dies to ensure optimal performance and quality.
- Troubleshoot die-related issues and implement corrective actions.
- Manage and maintain inventory levels of tooling, gages, and precision measuring instruments.
- Proof tooling in machines to ensure conformance to quality standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalency.
- Proficiency in reading and writing English.
- At least 3 years of experience in fabrication or assembly technologies, with expertise in shop arithmetic, decimals, and fractions, working from prints and specifications.
- Ability to read and interpret various precision measuring instruments, maintain inventory records, and manage inventory levels.
- Proven experience in carbide die repair and knowledge of surface grinders and punch presses.
