Our Opportunity

We are seeking a Human Factors Scientist to join our Human Factors Practice in Philadelphia, PA. In this role, you will work with our team to analyze human performance related to various scenarios, including automobiles, occupational work, and consumer products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct usability testing and study design to identify human factors in accidents and their prevention.
  • Develop client relationships and work on multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Conduct research to obtain and review technical data, scientific literature, and standards.
  • Participate in the design and evaluation of warnings and safety information.
  • Provide project management for multiple projects, including budgeting and deadline management.
  • Communicate complex analyses to a non-technical audience.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Vision Science, Developmental, Experimental, Industrial, or Cognitive Psychology, or a related field.
  • Currently based in or willing to relocate to the Philadelphia area.
  • Strong record of designing behavioral studies using human subjects and database research methods.
  • Experience leading multiple scientific studies from start to finish.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills.
  • Assertive, self-starter, and able to work under pressure and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in statistics and computer programming, specifically SPSS, Matlab, Python, or R.
