Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team at International Display Systems, Inc. (IDS). As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance services for our Passenger Information Display Systems (PIDS) and other related systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide on-site and remote technical support for IDS clients in the Mid-Atlantic Region and nationally.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure system software operation and logs are up-to-date.
  • Respond to and troubleshoot service work orders using remote access tools and on-site support.
  • Direct and monitor the activities of subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site labor as directed by your supervisor.
  • Assist the Project Manager/Field Service Manager in maintaining the project schedule.
  • Ensure internal and external quality control procedures are followed and subcontractors adhere to construction documents and specifications.
  • Communicate with the Project Manager/Field Service Manager on overall progress and answer their questions.
  • Verify layouts and ensure subcontractors have completed their contractual requirements.
  • Assist with scheduling and coordination of material deliveries and check quality and quantities to ensure accurate compliance to plans and specifications.
  • Ensure work is performed safely and all safety protocols are followed.
  • Promote a clean and cooperative work environment.
  • Cooperate with and direct, when necessary, the activities of inspection agencies.
  • Ensure all required permits or licenses have been obtained and construction signage is properly posted.
  • Create punch-lists and communicate information to the Program Manager and subcontractors.
  • Provide prompt work reports, expense reports, etc. using IDS-provided tools.
