Electrical Construction Supervisor

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Construction Supervisor to join our team in the Lewiston, Maine office.
The primary responsibilities of this role include coordinating all field activities in a safe manner, providing effective supervision of assigned personnel, and ensuring that work is executed with the utmost safety, quality, and efficiency, adhering to project schedules, budgets, plans, and specifications.
This position may require occasional travel and relocation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand and uphold all company policies and procedures, along with any project-related strategic initiatives.
- Encourage participation in company training programs and assess the progress of field personnel.
- Assist with estimating and business development efforts as needed.
- Prepare a Project Specific Safety Plan with the safety department's assistance prior to commencing work, ensuring compliance with safety policies and minimizing workplace incidents.
- Take immediate corrective action to uphold safety performance and prepare required incident reports.
- Familiarize yourself with project plans, specifications, schedules, and budgets before starting work, addressing any questions or concerns.
- Contribute to the project turnover process and provide input for project scheduling and updates.
- Collaborate with the Preplanning Team and General Foreman to determine work sequences based on project requirements.
- Oversee hiring, supervision, and termination of field personnel, maintaining workforce planning documents.
- Coordinate with Project Management to effectively allocate field labor according to experience levels.
- Manage labor efficiency and project budgets, reporting inefficiencies with corrective actions.
- Prepare and submit daily time and project-related reports as required.
- Assist in managing materials and equipment necessary for the project.
- Ensure quality execution of work and address any issues promptly.
- Maintain effective communication with project personnel while safeguarding company interests.
- Engage with applicable unions and report any labor issues to management.
- Foster positive relationships with project personnel and company departments to support project activities.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Current Maine State Journeyman or Master's license (preferred).
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- A high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in electrical project construction.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with strong interpersonal and site management abilities.
- Proficient in computer applications and software.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and decision-making abilities.
- Consistent history of loyalty and commitment.
