We are seeking a skilled General Foreman / Electrical Superintendent to oversee our operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all project activities are conducted safely and efficiently, while also providing leadership and supervision to the field personnel. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity, in alignment with project timelines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to and promote all company policies and project-related strategic initiatives.
  • Support training programs and evaluate the progress of field personnel.
  • Assist in estimating and business development efforts as required.
  • Develop a Project Specific Safety Plan with the safety department to minimize workplace incidents.
  • Familiarize yourself with project documentation, including plans, specifications, and schedules, to avoid misunderstandings.
  • Contribute to the project turnover process and provide input for project scheduling.
  • Collaborate with the Preplanning Team to determine work sequences based on project requirements.
  • Manage hiring, supervision, and termination of field staff, while maintaining workforce planning documents.
  • Coordinate with Project Management to align field labor with project needs.
  • Monitor labor efficiency and report any inefficiencies with corrective actions.
  • Prepare and submit daily time and project-related reports as required.
  • Guide Foremen and field labor in achieving labor hour objectives.
  • Oversee material and equipment management for the project.
  • Ensure quality work performance and address any issues promptly.
  • Maintain effective communication with project personnel while safeguarding company interests.
  • Engage with applicable unions and address any labor-related concerns.
  • Foster positive relationships with project-related personnel and departments.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Current Maine State Journeyman or Master's license (preferred).
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in electrical project construction.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and site management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with scheduling software (Microsoft Project, Primavera).
  • Familiarity with Vista Viewpoint, Accubid, and Bluebeam.
  • Document control experience.
