Job Summary

The Director, Safety and Regulatory Compliance is a key member of the ITS ConGlobal team, responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive safety program that ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and promotes a culture of safety throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Partnership
    • Collaborate with senior leaders to ensure alignment of safety objectives with the company's strategic goals.
    • Develop and implement safety programs, procedures, and policies that meet regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
    • Partner with operational leaders to ensure understanding and compliance with safety programs and procedures.
  • Safety Practices and Compliance
    • Design and deliver training programs to educate employees on safe work practices and procedures.
    • Conduct incident investigations and root-cause analysis to identify areas for improvement.
    • Develop and implement programs to foster a strong safety culture and promote employee engagement.
  • Regulatory Management
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, including OSHA, FRA, and DOT.
    • Submit required reports and maintain accurate records of regulatory compliance.
    • Monitor regulatory changes and updates, and provide recommendations for compliance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Safety Management, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in Intermodal, Rail, or Operations with in-depth knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in developing and training safety programs.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time to multiple locations.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • CET (Certified Environmental, Safety, and Health Trainer) certificate preferred.
  • CSP or Equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license.
