- Inventory Management: Oversee the ordering, storage, and inventory of bakery ingredients and supplies to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of pastry cooks and assistants to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks to ensure that all pastry and dessert products meet our high standards of taste, presentation, and safety.
- Cost Control: Work with the Executive Chef to manage pastry and dessert costs, including ingredient procurement, labor, and overhead expenses.
- Sanitation and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations and protocols.
- Experience: Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or Baker in a high-volume hotel or restaurant environment.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; culinary certification preferred.
- Skills: Excellent baking and pastry skills, with a focus on creativity, attention to detail, and quality control.
- Leadership: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train a team of pastry cooks and assistants.
