Hospice Aide Job Description

As a Hospice Aide at St. Croix Hospice, you will play a vital role in providing quality, continuity, and safe patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Your primary focus will be on delivering exceptional patient care, including bathing, nail/skin care, dressing/undressing, dental hygiene, and other personal hygiene needs while maintaining a clean and organized environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide patient care, including bathing, nail/skin care, dressing/undressing, dental hygiene, and other personal hygiene needs.
  • Offer positive, respectful, and confidential patient/family communication.
  • Take and record vital signs, and assist with self-administered medications.
  • Plan and prepare nutritious meals, including shopping and feeding the patient as needed.
  • Assess and report patient's condition and changes to the RN Case Manager.
  • Assist in ambulation, exercise, transfers, positioning, and support a complete range of motion and other therapy activities.
