  • Transporting clients to medical and social appointments.
  • Documenting the services rendered accurately.
  • Reminding clients to take medications and providing minimal assistance as needed.
  • Monitoring and reporting any changes in the client's condition.
  • Identifying and reporting any signs of abuse to the appropriate authorities.
  • Adhering to agency policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Certification as a Nurse Aide from an accredited program.
  • Successful completion of a Criminal Background Check and Abuse Registry Check.
  • At least one year of full-time experience in caregiving or personal care in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong references from previous employers.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding English.
  • Willingness to comply with all agency policies and procedures.
  • Ability to understand job demands and scope of work.
  • Demonstrated competencies in caregiving.
  • Willingness to undergo orientation and annual training.
  • Compassionate, patient, and capable of working in challenging environments.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Computer literacy is essential.
  • Commitment to personal hygiene and adherence to the agency dress code.
  • Understanding of industry regulations and client needs.
  • Reliable transportation with a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements

The role of a CNA involves physical stamina and the ability to assist clients with mobility. Physical demands include:
  • Standing and sitting for extended periods.
  • Lifting, pushing, pulling, and other physical activities.
  • Effective communication with clients.
  • Documenting services for extended periods.
  • Driving for various distances as required.
