Process Control Internship Opportunity

Schneider Electric is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Process Control Intern to join our team in Richfield, Ohio. As a Process Control Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in project engineering and field service, working on real-life initiatives and projects that will boost your resume.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a team of engineers to deliver projects and provide support for our process automation customers on Foxboro and Modicon systems.
  • Under the mentorship of senior engineers, you will work on process control and PLC control systems, troubleshooting, upgrading, setting up/configuring equipment and software, and building applications for our customers.
  • Learn to interpret design inputs such as Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, IO lists, and control narratives.
  • Build and configure Human Machine Interface screens for operator control/effectiveness based on design inputs.
  • Participate in testing systems for customers and resolving discrepancies.
  • Potential travel to project sites to assist with commissioning and gain experience.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program studying Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Control Engineering, or a related field.
  • Completed 2 years of college toward a degree by Summer 2025.
  • Ability to work on-site 40 hours a week out of our Cleveland, Ohio area location from June - August 2025.
  • Familiarity with computer software and systems.
