Sava's Restaurant is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef Assistant to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for assisting our chef team with the preparation, production, and inventory management of our brunch buffet and pastry offerings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Production: Assist the chef team with prep, production, and inventory management, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standard.
  • Communication: Demonstrate strong communication skills to ensure that all tasks are completed fully and in alignment with the needs of the chef team and the business.
  • Leadership: Demonstrate the expected standards of all employees at Sava's and be willing to speak up when there are violations to our values, food standards, and/or HR practices.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain a strong attention to detail in terms of food quality, sanitation measures, and safety regulations.
  • Efficiency: Prioritize tasks and have the capacity to fulfill multiple tasks throughout your shift, maintaining high-quality standards while completing your work and duties as quickly as possible.
  • Adaptability: Be able to adapt your work to meet the needs and volume of the business as it shifts throughout each season.
  • Initiative: Take responsibility for your professional growth, asking questions and seeking opportunities to learn, and be willing to go above and beyond to fill in and help out where it is needed.
  • Safety & Sanitation Standards: Adhere to safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards, following proper labeling, storage (FIFO), and temping methods, and maintaining a pristine physical upkeep of the kitchen and equipment in partnership with the management team.
