Position: Environmental Services Technician

Compensation: $15 / HR

Overview:

As an Environmental Services Technician, you will be essential in upholding a pristine, secure, and inviting atmosphere for patients, visitors, and healthcare personnel. Your role is vital in preventing infections and ensuring the sanitation of patient rooms, communal spaces, and various hospital facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine cleaning activities, including mopping, sweeping, dusting, and vacuuming in patient rooms, hallways, and other designated areas.
  • Sanitize high-contact surfaces and equipment to mitigate infection risks.
  • Manage waste disposal and hazardous materials in accordance with hospital protocols.
  • Replenish supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels in restrooms and other specified locations.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and procedures to maintain a risk-free work environment.
  • Collaborate with fellow Environmental Services team members and hospital staff to meet cleanliness standards and promptly address any cleaning-related concerns.
  • Uphold confidentiality and respect patient privacy consistently.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in housekeeping, janitorial services, or environmental services is preferred.
  • Familiarity with cleaning methods, products, and equipment.
  • Ability to follow directions and work autonomously with minimal oversight.
  • Strong attention to detail and effective time management skills.
  • Physical endurance to perform tasks that may involve bending, lifting, and prolonged standing.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
