Overview

Performance Excellence Partners, LLC (PEP) is looking for a dedicated Event Planner to assist in the strategic planning and execution of events for the Air Force Strategic Development Planning and Experimentation Directorate.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Oversee the coordination of staff, convention personnel, and clients to arrange meetings, events, workshops, or conventions.
  2. Collaborate with relevant organizations on event planning and execution processes.
  3. Create documentation to engage industry stakeholders for input on planning engagements.
  4. Establish a timeline for briefings and ensure events are conducted punctually.
  5. Compile and organize briefing materials for engagement events.
  6. Serve as the lead for planning meetings.
  7. Devise methods to collect feedback from subject matter experts and industry participants.
  8. Review and edit briefing materials for submission to Public Affairs Office as necessary.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in event and conference planning.
  2. Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
  3. Prior experience with U.S. Government operations is preferred.
  4. Experience with Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) is advantageous.
  5. Proven track record in planning and managing logistics for events ranging from small meetings to large gatherings with over 200 attendees.
  6. Strong ability to anticipate project needs, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines independently.
  7. Capability to manage multiple projects and assignments simultaneously.
  8. Excellent organizational, budgeting, and logistical skills.
  9. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  11. Willingness to work on-site as required.
