Overview
Performance Excellence Partners, LLC (PEP) is looking for a dedicated Event Planner to assist in the strategic planning and execution of events for the Air Force Strategic Development Planning and Experimentation Directorate.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the coordination of staff, convention personnel, and clients to arrange meetings, events, workshops, or conventions.
- Collaborate with relevant organizations on event planning and execution processes.
- Create documentation to engage industry stakeholders for input on planning engagements.
- Establish a timeline for briefings and ensure events are conducted punctually.
- Compile and organize briefing materials for engagement events.
- Serve as the lead for planning meetings.
- Devise methods to collect feedback from subject matter experts and industry participants.
- Review and edit briefing materials for submission to Public Affairs Office as necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in event and conference planning.
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Prior experience with U.S. Government operations is preferred.
- Experience with Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) is advantageous.
- Proven track record in planning and managing logistics for events ranging from small meetings to large gatherings with over 200 attendees.
- Strong ability to anticipate project needs, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines independently.
- Capability to manage multiple projects and assignments simultaneously.
- Excellent organizational, budgeting, and logistical skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Willingness to work on-site as required.
