Event Manager Job Description

At Infinite Management Solutions, LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled Event Manager to join our team. As an Event Manager, you will be responsible for planning, managing, and leading conferences, events, and workshops. Your primary goal will be to ensure that client needs and expectations are met, from choosing venues and vendors to evaluating success afterwards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and host trial runs to ensure a smooth event execution
  • Plan event details, including seating, dining, and guest lists, while considering financial and time constraints
  • Manage a medium-sized team of staff, vendors, and operators to achieve event objectives
  • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and venues to ensure high-quality services
  • Create reliable financial reports, collect payments, and ensure vendors are paid on time
  • Meet with designated staff to discuss event purpose, protocols, expected outcomes, and progression
  • Handle last-minute changes and unexpected issues that may arise during the event
  • Research and select vendors, negotiate terms, and book venues and speakers
  • Promote events through various channels, including social media, radio, and television
  • Attend events to ensure everything is functioning as planned and evaluate success afterwards

Requirements:

  • At least five years of experience in the events industry
  • Minimum of three years of experience as an Event Manager or Project Manager in a similar role
  • Bachelor's Degree in Event Management, Marketing, Hospitality, Public Relations, or a similar relevant discipline
  • Event Management certification is highly valued
