Assistant General Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant General Manager to join our dynamic hospitality team at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Shiloh, IL. This role supports the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining high standards in service, cleanliness, and staff performance.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the General Manager in developing operating budgets and analyzing operations to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Supervise and participate in the operations of the hotel to achieve desired sales and profit goals, including managing staff, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Develop and implement marketing plans to attract potential guests and promote the hotel's services and facilities.
- Collaborate with department heads to review operations, receive suggestions, and delegate responsibilities to improve performance.
- Establish programs to improve employee morale and motivation, and ensure a positive work environment.
- Directly or indirectly responsible for all products, inventory, and consumable items used in the hotel, and ensure proper preparation and use consistent with the hotel's cost objectives.
- Responsible for all revenues and accounts receivable, and enforce cash handling procedures.
- Participate in scheduled internal meetings to discuss sales, forecasting, quality control, safety, and other important topics.
- Prepare and submit all reports on a timely basis, and analyze and suggest strategies to improve performance.
- Responsible for maintaining a high level of employee morale, supervising and participating in the operations of the hotel, and ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Must be able to favorably represent the hotel to guests and the community.
- Knowledge of operational phases of the hotel, including budget and accounting, sales procedures, personnel management, and sales-driven strategies.
- CHA (Certified Hotel Administrator) designation preferred.
- Knowledge of OPERA PMS (property management system) preferred.
- Ability to lift, bend, move heavy equipment, and remain on one's feet for extended periods of time.
- Good communication skills, with Spanish speaking skills a plus.
- Team-oriented and dedicated to providing excellent service and ensuring that the hotel's highest standards are met.
- Ability to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays, and use personal vehicle for business purposes as needed.
