Position Overview:

The Vendor Risk Assessment Analyst plays a crucial role within the Vendor Management Office at City National Bank, focusing on comprehensive evaluations and management of third-party risks across the organization. This position is dedicated to ensuring that all third-party risk assessments are meticulously organized, executed, reviewed, and documented.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough third-party risk assessments for initial due diligence and ongoing oversight of vendor services, including the collection and analysis of necessary documentation, assessment questionnaires, and review of audited control reports.
  • Collaborate closely with various internal departments such as Information Security, Enterprise Risk Management, and Compliance to facilitate and assess third-party service providers.
  • Document and track remediation efforts for significant supplier risks to ensure timely resolution.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of supplier risk management activities, including issue tracking and risk remediation efforts, with regular updates on key supplier metrics.
  • Assist in the preparation and documentation of various reports, including vendor scorecards and ongoing monitoring artifacts.
  • Perform data analysis related to vendor and contract information, drawing actionable insights.
  • Maintain accurate vendor and contract data within relevant systems.
  • Promote the enterprise Vendor Management objectives throughout the organization and provide training to internal staff on vendor management processes.
  • Deliver risk awareness training to colleagues in alignment with City National Bank's Third Party Risk Management Policies and Procedures.
  • Escalate significant issues to management as necessary and work collaboratively to resolve them.
  • Support various ad hoc projects aimed at enhancing programs and improving processes.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in third-party risk management within the financial services sector, including conducting risk assessments and reporting on Key Risk Indicators (KRIs).
  • At least 3 years of experience in identifying risks and controls, scoping assessments, and performing assurance testing.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) systems, focusing on continuous improvement.

Skills and Expertise:

  • In-depth knowledge of third-party risk management processes and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with the entire third-party risk management lifecycle, including planning, due diligence, contract management, ongoing monitoring, and termination.
  • Experience with GRC systems and contract management, including master service agreements and statements of work.
  • Possession of industry-recognized certifications in third-party risk management or vendor management.
  • Strong project management capabilities, including organization, planning, and reporting.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to work with data and derive meaningful conclusions.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with all levels of management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

Compensation: The starting base salary for this position ranges from $87,027 to $138,965 annually, with potential eligibility for bonuses and commissions based on skills and experience.
