Job Title: Senior Manager, Resource Modeling Support

About the Role

This is a challenging and meaningful role that requires a unique blend of skills and experience. As a Senior Manager, Resource Modeling Support, you will be responsible for enabling the Resource Modeling team to generate meaningful resource-related insights that inform and influence resource implications of portfolio decisions.

You will work indirectly with our internal stakeholders across R&D to build upon existing capabilities and bring novel approaches to ensure our tools and methodologies are consistently aligned with functional operating models.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver solutions, reports, and dashboards to answer questions related to demand and capacity management.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in the execution of monthly or quarterly reporting deliverables and ad-hoc requests.
  • Work with R&D functions and cross-functional leadership to design and implement efficient, integrated processes to link study planning and feasibility, and predicted operational risks into resource forecasts.
  • Ensure planning inputs such as templates, drivers, algorithm design are actively managed to represent and evolve to meet organizational needs.
  • Apply best RM practices regarding FTE modeling and forecasting, headcount management, time actuals capture, and interpretation.
  • Share knowledge and subject matter expertise to develop RM aptitude amongst team members.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate (BA/BS) degree required.
  • 5+ years of professional experience or graduate school in the life sciences or biopharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience with clinical studies, clinical operations, and drug development preferred.
  • Basic understanding of functions, roles, and major work packages associated with each phase of drug development/lifecycle management and the ability to translate that work into project and portfolio level forecasts.
  • Experience contributing to cross-functional teams towards goals and decisions, including identifying barriers, facilitating solutions, and escalating risks.
  • Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and work in a team environment.
  • The ability to extract and communicate meaningful qualitative and quantitative insights from raw data using modern BI tools (Excel, Tableau, etc.).
  • Experience with Planisware Enterprise for project planning and forecasting preferred.
