Job Title: Commvault Support Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Commvault Support Engineer to join our team at Merge IT LLC. As a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our enterprise-level clients in Washington, DC.

Job Summary:

This is a 6+ month contract position with the possibility of extension or permanent conversion. The ideal candidate will have active Top Secret security clearance and experience in backup administration, particularly with CommVault Simpana.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily administration of the CommVault environment
  • Review backup reports to identify and resolve issues
  • Collect and analyze data to optimize backup and restore processes
  • Develop solutions to complex data movement challenges
  • Own and resolve trouble tickets
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of backup administration experience, preferably with CommVault Simpana
  • Practical experience in data life cycle management, disaster recovery, and software performance tuning
  • Ability to logically solve IT issues and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders
