Residential Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Counselor to join our team at Brockton Area Multi-Servic. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals with developmental and/or physical disabilities.
The successful candidate will work in a home environment, helping individuals develop connections and meaningful relationships in their community. You will support individuals in developing new skills, promoting independence, happiness, and success.
About the RoleAs a Residential Counselor, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting individuals with daily living tasks, including personal care, cooking, cleaning, and shopping.
- Supporting individuals in completing Activities of Daily Living (ADL) tasks, such as medication management, meal preparation, and personal hygiene.
- Facilitating community relationships and friendships through outings, events, and activities tailored to individual interests.
- Developing and implementing Individual Service Plans (ISPs), including behavioral plans and medication treatment plans.
You will also have the opportunity to work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure that each individual receives comprehensive support and care.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you must possess:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Certified Nursing Assistant, Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- A valid driver's license in the state of residence, a satisfactory driving record, and at least 3 years of driving experience.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and maneuver up to 25-75 pounds, depending on the specific needs of the individual.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
We offer a competitive salary range of $35,000 - $45,000 per year, based on experience, plus benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
