Job SummaryThe Cook will prepare and serve food, including texture-modified and therapeutic diets, following facility menus and applicable federal, state, and local standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, storing, preparing, serving, sanitizing, and cleaning procedures, as well as supporting the Dietary Aide and directing other employees as needed.
Responsibilities- Prepare and serve food, including texture-modified and therapeutic diets
- Receive, store, prepare, serve, sanitize, and clean food and equipment
- Support the Dietary Aide and direct other employees as needed
- Follow infection control and universal precautions policies and procedures
- Utilize protective gear in all appropriate functions
- Report equipment and cleaning product needs and malfunctions to supervisor
We are seeking a high school diploma or equivalent, with experience in food preparation preferred. Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required, and the ability to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods is necessary.
